After experiencing much despare since Tuesday night’s 7.0 earthquake, Project Medishare/UM Global Institute received good news today that the two Project Medishare staff members believed missing and presumed dead are alive. The team obtained confirmation that both have survived.
There has also been word that the earlier reports of earthquake victims being transported to Project Medishare facilities in Thomonde and Marmont is incorrect. Victims are being taken to a variety of makeshift hospitals set up around Haiti’s captial, including Project Medishare/UM Global Institute’s mobile trauma clinic currently set up at UN Headquarters at the Port-au-Prince airport.
While communications are beginning to improve, receiving reports from our team on the ground is still difficult. We will continue to update you here on the Project Medishare Blog.
